Windham Motors car theft investigation still ongoing

Demopolis Police Chief Rex Flowers said this week three of the six vehicles stolen from Windham Motors last month have been recovered.

On February 6, six vehicles were stolen from the dealership by a ring of professional car thieves.

Surveillance cameras showed six individuals getting out of a single car, and each one stole a vehicle from the dealership parking lot. Earlier reports said the thieves stole the cars within 30 seconds, and got away with thousands of dollars of inventory.

Flowers said that investigators are working with the different departments and jurisdictions to find the remaining cars and suspects.

The investigation is pending and further information will be made available by the DPD as it becomes available.
