Mary Yates Trainham

Mary Yates Trainham, 103, a homemaker of Linden, died Wednesday, March 16 at Marengo Nursing Home in Linden. She was born Nov. 6, 1907 in Marengo County. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley T. Sammons of Melbourne, Fla., sister Adelle Foxhall of Linden, granddaughters Angela Trainham of Ponchatoula, La., Diane Peabody of Demopolis, Bonnie Yearty of Satellite Beach, Fla. and Deanna Kelley, Coco, Fla., grandson Greg Sammons of West Melbourne, Fla., six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sat. , March 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Gandy officiating. Burial was at New Octagon Cemetery in Linden.

Active Pallbearers were Rex Leonard, Kenneth Cobb, Arthur Henson, Greg Sammons, Kenneth Gunter Jr., Trae Sammons, Tommy Yearty and Cam Kelley.
