Marengo Co. man arrested for shooting in Uniontown

One man was arrested Tuesday night in Faunsdale, and authorities are seeking more suspects following a shooting incident in Uniontown.

According to Uniontown police chief Donald Rhodes, a shooting incident between two males took place on Water Avenue in Uniontown Tuesday between 7:30 and 8 p.m. There were no fatalities in the incident.

A suspect was then reported headed towards Demopolis from the scene, and the Marengo County Sheriff’s Department was called in to assist.

That suspect, Arsenio T. Brown, 21, of Old Highway 80 in Faunsdale, was later arrested in Faunsdale on charges of assault (first degree) and discharging a firearm within the city limit. He is currently being housed in the Perry County Jail.

The incident is still under investigation.
